For months, there were indications that Apple was planning to expand smartphone manufacturing in the Indian market to allow the company to offer more affordable handsets in the country while it could increase sales availability in the Asian Pacific region.
Due to weak sales of current iPhone models in India, Apple wants to grow again and expand into one of the most fundamental economies in the world that in a few months made the unknown Oppo subsidiary, Realme, become one of the largest local manufacturers with extraordinary growth threatening Redmi’s hegemony in the country.
With this, Apple now appeals and restores iPhone 6S models in India, with reduced price, hardware of 2015, features limited and design lags behind its main competitors of 2019.
The company started linking this week’s advertising, highlighting “the incredible iPhone 6S” with prices starting at 26,910 rupees, or approximately R $ 1,525, made to compete directly with other models for sale in the Indian market as live V15 Pro, Oppo R17 and Oppo R15 Pro.
While the aforementioned models feature hugely successful screen and reduced notch, the iPhone 6S continues to offer the standard four years ago with thick edges already outdated design. Just like the A9 processor and Retina HD resolution screen.
The smartphone is on sale in the Indian market and, as said, now that it is manufactured in the country has its lowest price and can offer an increase in the amount of handsets sold by Apple in India.
